When you create a new livestream, a window opens where you can configure some settings for the stream in five steps.
In the first step, you give your livestream a name. This will be displayed to viewers during the stream.
Then you select the source from which the stream should come. You have the options RTMP Push/Pull, SRT Caller, and HLS. You can also stream a video from your media library via “Premiere a VOD.” With the “Video.Taxi Studio” option, you can use our in-house live streaming studio. More information here.
In this step, you also select the primary language spoken and the quality in which the stream will be delivered.
In the third step, you set the start time and duration. The start time must be set after the current time. You can also extend the duration during the stream.
Now you choose whether the livestream should be recorded so that you can watch it again afterwards. You also choose whether you want to use the Video.Taxi Player. This option is important for using many of the features and options of our livestream interface.
In the last step, specify how many viewers you expect for your stream and whether you want to limit the maximum number of participants.
Once you have completed these steps, click on “Setup livestream” at the bottom.
