Use of Matomo

You can use the Matomo Media Analytics integration with or without cookies at Video.Taxi.

If you decide on the variant without cookies, you do not need a cookie consent banner in the player (provided you have not activated any other individual player analyses).

 

The following steps are necessary.

Matomo integration without cookies:

  1. Activate the Matomo integration in your account: https://service.video.taxi/account by clicking on "Activate individual player analyses".
  2. Add the Matomo URL
  3. Add the Matomo ID
  4. Click Matomo integration without cookies
  5. Set up a simple opt-out for users on your website
  6. Mention Matomo in your privacy policy

The last two steps are recommendations from Matomo. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the information. In case of doubt, please contact your data protection officer.

 

Matomo integration with cookies:

  1. Activate the Matomo integration in your account: https://service.video.taxi/account as described above
  2. Add the Matomo URL
  3. Add the Matomo ID (you can find the Matomo ID in the JavaScript tracking code in the Websites section)
  4. Do not check the box Matomo integration without cookies
  5. Check the box DSGVO-CONFORM and
  6. Add the necessary data for the Cookie Consent Banner by inserting the URL to your privacy policy.

If the viewer of your videos should object to the use of cookies via the Video.Taxi Consent banner when calling up the player, no cookies will be set by Matomo, even in the case of Matomo integration with cookies.
