To invite participants to your dialogue session, you need to share the corresponding link or QR code with them. You can find these in the room you created under “Participants”:
When a participant opens the link, they must first enter their name and click “Continue.”
Then they select one of the available languages specified by the host when creating the room and click “Join the room.”
This is what the user interface looks like for participants during a dialogue session:
At the bottom, they can follow the “Live transcript” in the selected translation language. The translation is also played back as audio at the same time. The audio output can be turned on or off using the speaker icon in the top-right corner. To the left of it, you can share the session. Click “Leave” to exit the room.
If you’d like to speak as a participant, click “Request to talk.”
The host can then see this request under “Participants” and “Approve” it or reject it by clicking the X next to it.
Once the host has accepted the request, a window opens for the participant with the message “You can talk now.” Clicking “Start talking” begins the audio transmission.
This is what it looks like for the participant while they are speaking. A fluctuating waveform indicates that audio is being transmitted. Clicking “Stop talking” ends the audio transmission.
Here's what it looks like for the host. The live transcript shows a translation of what the participant is currently saying. This is also played back as audio.
If you, as the host, want to speak again, click either “Revoke” to the right of the participant who is speaking or “Take over” at the top.
