With Pay per View, you have a powerful tool to monetize livestreams and videos.
And here are the instructions:
First of all, set up a livestream under LIVESTREAMS. Now go to Protection in the Video Cockpit and activate the Pay per View slider. Only with this activation, you can sell your livestream.
Now go to PAY PER VIEW and create your first product with Add Product. The product is your ticket. There you set up the following:
- Validity (the period in which your ticket sale should take place)
- Livestreams (here you can see all livestreams that you have marked as Pay per View)
- VODs (here you can see all VODs that you have marked as Pay per View)
- Sell online (check this box, if you want to sell via Video.Taxi)
When you activate Online Selling, we will ask you to enter an account to which your earnings from the sale of your PPV products will be transferred.
Go back to the form and complete it. It is very intuitive and should not leave any questions open.
Important: You can always change the validity of your product afterwards as often as you like. The selection of your livestreams and VODs can also be changed at any time and gives you full freedom. For example, you can sell a package of content that has not yet been produced. You just put them in when they are available.
Both the title and the description and the price of your product will be displayed on the video player. Even multiple products can be positioned in parallel. All you have to do is place the code and your presale can start.
Take the embed code of your livestream and integrate it in your and/or other websites. Done.
Your player might look like this:
On the lower yellow button your customer can buy the ticket, on the upper button the customer enters the purchased code.
You can select three different options for the "Buy Now" button to customise your communication and "soften" it if necessary:
This is how it can look like in the player:
