With the help of AI, you can easily create summaries for your videos and audio files. This can be very useful for further utilizing the content or reviewing it again in a compact form.
To get a summary, the media must be at least five minutes long and have subtitles (you can find out how to create these automatically here). In the media, go to the “Subs & Transcripts” tab and click on ‘Actions’ on the right. In the drop-down menu, click on “Summary records of proceedings/decisions”.
If everything worked, a message will appear in the upper right corner stating that you will receive the summary by email shortly (depending on the length of the medium, this takes 20-30 minutes). The summary comes as a Word file and includes a list of speakers, an overview (in bullet points, divided by person), and a summary in short and long version.
IMPORTANT: In order to create a summary, you must first name the speakers correctly! Otherwise, you will receive an error message.
To do this, click on “Edit” in the “Subs & Transcripts” section. The speakers are listed in the box on the right. By default, they are named S1, S2, etc. To rename them, click on the pencil symbol to the right of the name and enter a new name in the window that opens.
Once you have done this for all speakers, save the changes on the right-hand side. You can now request the summary.
