If you already have an existing dictionary, you can simply import it into Video.Taxi and use it. To do this, go to your dictionaries via ACCOUNT. Here you can either replace an existing dictionary or create a new one. In the window that appears, click on “Datei auswählen” under “Replace with file”. However, for the entries to be recognized and assigned correctly, the dictionary must have the correct file type (.csv or .txt) and the correct format.
The correct format
As a .csv file (opened here in Excel), the first line is the heading (“Phrase,Alternative Aussprache (optional)” --> no space between “Phrase” and “Alternative”). In the line below, the phrases are now listed and if you want to add an alternative pronunciation, this is separated by a comma next to it. However, both are placed in the same column (here “A”).
It looks similar in the .txt file, except that this is pure text:
Both .csv and txt. files need to be saved with a UTF-8 encoding!
A maximum of 1,000 entries can be uploaded. We cannot process special characters such as &, °, %, €.
